I posted this on another forum -
18 months of service calls, replacing the main distribution line... all before a technician takes a spectrum analyzer out into the field? Customer is blamed for the failure of inept field technicians. Time for that ISP to audit their field teams skillsets.

While the TV might be the source, it likely wasn't the cause. More likely that this was a bad line tap, a connector suckout, etc. that allowed interference to backfeed.
