On August 3rd, The El Dorado County Amateur Radio Club presented a Neighborhood Radio Watch Webinar for the Coloma Lotus Fire Safe Council (CLFSC). Here's a recording: https://youtu.be/dJ2xVYsE1sw

The Webinar detailed the progress made in starting and using a GMRS Community Radio program to help keep Residents in touch during fast-moving events such as wildfires.

The Mountain Democrat also ran a story last week about the program in their Disaster Resource Guide: https://www.mtdemocrat.com/disaster-resource-guide-2020/disaster-radio-to-the-rescue/

This was worth the time; a good idea for areas such as El Doradok Auburn, etc (and not a bad one for more urban areas as well).
