Dear Gary,

I'm coming at the tail end of your conversation, so if my question does not make sense to you just let me know.  Do you need a scope to use for teaching?  I have a Rigol DS1102E, that you could use for a limited time.  I would want it back.

Sincerely,

Robert Vaughan,

Ah - the 475 is the scope I used for years in the Navy!

I even taught others how to use it in a Basic Test Equipment course when I had instructor duty the last couple of years in the Navy. You're right it's not very compact... but I will be in touch if I decide it's the best option for me. Thanks much!

If anyone needs distilled water for their CPAP machines CVS is a good place to purchase it from. Not everyone thinks to buy groceries from CVS. They do stock some groceries.

Also i have a water distiller if you can't find any in the stores. Contact me and we can workout the logistics.

Yes, we took it off the calendar. However, the bkfst is really not a "club sponsored event", but more a social gathering. So, we are leaving it up to Club members to decide whether they want to meet ... or not. I would check with Mel's in any case, as to whether they are open or not.

Thanks for the reminder, Ken. I just pulled it off the calendar. Since this isn't a Club sponsored event, but more a social gathering, we leave it up to everyone to decide whether to go out to breakfast or not.

Letter from Elecraft #QST

Dennis - WU6X

Released: March 17, 2020

Elecraft's priority is the safety and well-being of our employees, customers and the community in which we live and work. We wanted to reach out and make sure that all of you are staying safe as well as share a few of the steps we have taken to ensure we are able to protect our colleagues here at Elecraft while maintaining a high level of support for all of you.

Santa Cruz County Shelter in Place
Santa Cruz County has issued a three week "shelter in place" order from March 17 through April 7 to guard against the further spread of the Coronavirus.  Residents have been ordered to “shelter in place” and refrain from all non-essential activities outside of their home. Telecommuting from home is encouraged. Employees can travel to work to retrieve equipment and documents needed to telecommute, and companies are allowed reduced staff on-site to support telecommuting along with protection of inventory, security and some other business functions.

What is happening at Elecraft
Sales and Customer Support are setting up to take calls to Elecraft from their home offices during our normal work hours.  We will be trying our best to maintain a business-as-usual service, but, inevitably, you may hear kids laughing or dogs barking in the background during a call with us.  We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate the current reality together with all of you.

We will continue to ship products that we have in stock.  Items that we do not have in stock will be shipped later in April when we are able to resume full manufacturing.

All of our engineers are able to continue their work on projects off-site, including K4 development.

Manufacturing and production at Elecraft will continue when Santa Cruz County's "shelter in place" is lifted.

Placing Orders
You may place orders online at elecraft.com or by calling Sales at 831-763-4211.  We will continue to ship products that we have in stock.  Items that we do not have in stock will be shipped later in April when we are able to resume full manufacturing.  We will not process your payment until we are able to ship your order.  If your order is not shipped within a week, we may have to contact you for payment information since our system does not store credit card numbers.  You may also place a note on your order form to process your payment immediately, and you’ll receive a shipping tracking number as soon as we’re able to ship your order.

If you have any questions regarding your order or about any of our products, please feel free to call us at 831-763-4211 or email sales@... or support@... .

All of us at Elecraft hope you stay safe and healthy, and we thank you for being a part of our Elecraft Family.

Eric Swartz, WA6HHQ

I have a Tektronix 475 (200MHz) you can borrow with probes. Not exactly compact.

Does anyone have a decent (and hopefully compact) o'scope that I can borrow for a bit?

My Yaesu FT-847 took some sort of hit during winter field day... output on some bands/modes is dead or greatly reduced. As luck would have it, I suddenly have some free time on my hands so I figured I'd do some troubleshooting. The one thing I don't have that I know I'll need is an o'scope. Hopefully somewhat compact like a Rigol or something because I don't really have a ton of workbench space.

Gary -

I have a Goldstar OS-9020A that may borrow (or buy) if you think it meets your needs.  No probes.

I just got on DMR on the KI6OK (311416) repeater.  It works great!  I'm learning the tricks of the radio and software.
