I thought about cutting off the top (or not) of a 4" pvc 90 degree elbow to use as a director.

My camper rig is an IC 706 with a LDG auto tuner. I set it up so that when deployed, the autotuner is on top but tilted up at a 45 so it becomes a director for the top firing radio speaker.
That 3d printed one looks pretty nice and refined though...
