Invitation: Introduction to El Dorado County's Neighborhood Radio Watch Program, Tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb 24, 6:30 PM

Alan - W6WN

(Almost forgot) You're invited to an online introduction to El Dorado County's Neighborhood Radio Watch Program, tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb 24, at 6:30 PM.  Here's the agenda:

6:30-7:00 PM - We'll explain the basics of how the Neighborhood Radio Watch program provides a backup method for Neighbors to communicate and get critical information when phones, Internet or power is off.

7:00-7:10 PM - You'll get to listen in to a weekly, on-air GMRS Community "Safety Net" check-in with Residents in the Coloma Lotus area - many new to radio who already sound like pros!

7:10-7:20 PM - You'll hear from Joe Perez, former Operations Manager of Sonoma County's Public Safety Consortium, about how he and his wife barely survived the 2017 Tubbs Fire. They escaped at the last minute in the middle of the night with nothing but the clothes on their backs and one of their vehicles. You'll see you what they returned to the next day. Joe will also comment on how a Neighborhood Radio Watch program might have given them them a few precious minutes of extra warning.

7:20 PM - Join us for a Q and A session afterwards.

We'd love to have you join us Tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb 24, 2021, at 06:30 PM. Registration in advance is required:
After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Looking forward to your attendance. It should be interesting.
